Using standard browser

Post by bharb » Tue May 13, 2008 12:42 am

Is there any chance to use the standard browser instead of Internet Explorer?

Cheers,
Bernhard.

Absolutely not. It would take at least 6 months to adapt vroute premium to work with any other browser and would give zero benefits to the user.

My question was a bit lazy - I do not mean the whole backend, of course that would be too much work and not really a benefit.

What I mean is the behaviour when opening a link, like the Flight Progress PDF or Links to sceneries. That would be really great if those links could be opened inside the standard browser, because of usability (the users are used to) and security (most non IE users do not update their IE and so it is a big security issue to open a page with IE).

What about that?

Thanks,
Bernhard.

This is not possible, sorry. An IE window inside vroute cannot open the "default" browser - since vroute server has no way of saying "open this link but use firefox".
