A new aircraft was added to vroute's fuel calculator - CaptainSim's C130. Thanks to Juanjo Guerrero!

Hi,

Don't know the guy that originally gave you the info for this but, I have CS C-130 and the fuel tank configuration is different to that which is displayed when you get vroute to calculate required fuel! Vroute states fuel in Main 1 through 4 where as CS's C-130's tanks (according to FSX) are Left/Right Aux = 910 Gallons, Center 2 & 3 = 1240 Gallons, External 1 & 2 = 1400 Gallons and Wing Tip Left/Right = 1350 = 9800lb/gal in total.

I'm only querying this as I went along with vroutes recommendations on a flight from Birmingham to Reklavik with the fuel quantity mentioned (using Center and Left/Right Aux) with stated % and ran out of fuel. Flight needed at least another 30%?

Is there anyway that this issue can be recommended by you or will it have to be done by the original guy that supplied it to you?

Thanks for both a brill prog and listening to my plea in having it rectified.

Regards,

James.

James,

I could adjust the data myself based on what you sent but I'm not sure my understanding of the C130 fuel tanks (based on what you wrote) is good enough.

If I gave you access to fuel page (see viewtopic.php?f=12&t=357) would you be able to enter the correct data?

Hi Michal,

Will double check weights and priorities later today and give you a shout.

Edited 14:25. After hunting through all 4 manuals for the CS C-130 I can't come up with accurate empty weights etcetera. What I have found (after going through ALL of the variants) is that they all seem to have 8 Fuel Tanks with the same Max Fuel = 65660lb's therefore, going by that I can at least adjust what each tank is meant to hold. So, when your able to, give me a shout and I'll edit the data or I can send you the data I have.

Thanks,

James.

You may have missed this so made a slight adjustment/move.

James,

I checked the data prepared by Juanjo Guerrero (who submitted the original C130 model) and it's far more complicated there, with 4 sequences and some tanks being loaded in two phases. I can send you the link, but anyway I certainly need more detailed information than just "set all tanks to equal capacity".
