No Alternate Aiport in drop down box, can't proceed

I searched for this issue on the support forum but didn't find any suitable posts...

I'm planning SCEL->SCIP and there is no alternate airport in the drop down on the fuel page. When I hit the Calculate button vroute gives an error popup:

invalid alternate airport

---------------------------

How do I work around this? There really isn't another airport available in that part of the pacific
