PDF - export format

Postby alross » Thu Nov 28, 2013 3:32 am

Hi,
I would like to know if it is fairly easy to change the layout of the exported Flight Plan when using the PDF format...

I often ( if not always) export my Flight plan to PDF so that I can print it and write notes on it.
I find the spacing between the line a bit tight :) Need to write with real small letters :)

in the Top section, can we set some section in Bold;

vroute Flight Progress Card

Callsign: CXA724 Date: ____/____/____

From: CYQB To: CYOW Altitude: 16000
Aircraft: BE60/ra Reg #: CG-PHW

In the Clearance section can we add the Altitude information as well?
>
ATIS ___ Alt _29.31_ SID _______ Climb ______
Squawk:________ Departure freq: _____________
Instructions: _______________________________
Taxi via: _____ _____ _____ _____ Rwy: ________
<

Same for the landing section
ATIS ___ Alt _29.62_ Wind: ______@ ____ Flaps ______
Tower freq:________ Ground freq: _____________
Instructions: _______________________________
Taxi via: _____ _____ _____ _____ Gate: ________

Would be nice to have more room between the line in the Approach & Landing section as well

As most of the time the printout fit on a letter format, why not trying to use it.
Small fonts for my (our) old eyes can be tricky some time.

Over all this is a real nice software, I like it alot, that is why I'm using the premium version...

I've added tower & ground freq. I've also changed Stand to Gate. I didn't add altimeter to Landing, because it's there (we call it QNH on this side of the pond). I did add QNH to Clearance part.

Please have a look and let me know how you like it now. I did not dig into the font size stuff, because there could be huge implications for formatting.

Hi,
Nice real nice.
Thx for the quick update.

If I may,

Clearance
ATIS ________ SID__________ Climb _________
QNH ________ Squawk________ Dep freq _______
Instructions _________________________________
___________________________________________
___________________________________________
Taxi via ________________________ Rwy _______

Enroute
...

Can we have a few more lines in for the instruction part? :)

And I know that the Date is part of the pde filename, but can we get it printer on the flightcard as well?

Thx again.

Hi,

Great thx.

Still will it be possible to get the date on the page?
I know it is part of the filename, but still

And can we have 2~3 more lines for the instructions in the Clearance section?
and in the Landing section as well.

But I did printout your update and it looks good.

Thx again.

I'm afraid I cannot afford many extra lines. The layout works good as long as all data fit on the left column. The exact threshold for what fits depends on airport, as TAR/METAR/alternates can vary. Still, If I exceed the number of lines then the layout goes wrong.
