Postby RICHWPN » Tue Jun 02, 2015 12:05 pm

Is Vroute going to work after the update to Windows 10, that is coming in a few months?
The browser Internet Explorer has been replaced by the new browser WINDOWS EDGE....

A good chance to change the structure to brower independent. See also viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2011

I'll test vroute for Windows Edge compatibility.

But @Jonas - refreshing vroute to work with IE Edge won't make it work with other browsers the way you expected. There's no such thing as a "generic web browser object" that I could use in my programming.

I just don't see why it has to be in a program. Since you explained me there is actually just a website displayed, why can't this website be opened in a browser of the users choice (of course after login)? I see more and more users getting online with X-Plane on Apple and linux systems, but they are unable to use this service. Also people using mobile devices for their flight preparation have to choose another service. And also here, I don't just think about only one system (apple), but also alternatives with many users such as Android.

Sure, except this "website" has been made 10 years ago and has not been created to work with all modern web browsers. It would require ton of adjustments to work on i.e. Safari.
