routes to GCFV and GCRR

Postby creppel » Sun Aug 06, 2017 8:15 pm

I am unable to validate routes via TERTO into GCRR und GCFV because of the following error:

ERRORS AT FL = 210:
(FPL-LOT001-IN -B738/M-SDRWY/S -EDDM0850 -N0444F210 MERSI Y100 MOMUK/N0444F330 Y100 TRA Z69 OLBEN UN869 NEMOS DCT NINTU UN869 ZAR UZ245 CJN UN975 GOTOR UN857 TERTO -GCFV0455 -PBN/B4 DOF/170807) ROUTE134: THE STAR LIMIT IS EXCEEDED FOR AERODROME GCFV [GCFV51409B] CONNECTING TO TERTO

This is because of old equipment. For that STAR the aircraft needs RNAV1 GNSS. That is standard nowadays for airliner.

Hi,
I can confirm this and add to it that also from Cap Verde (e.g. GVBA) there is no chance to validate routes to Central Europe 'cause the used B738 offers no RNP 10 equipment on board which is mandatory for oceanic flights in that area and as well for different approaches at the Canary Islands. Checked this with the equipment from an A320 which validates quite well.

Though I don't precisely know what modern B737-800 aircrafts from the polish airline LOT have actual in Item 10a of ICAO 2012 flightplans but from a real source I found that at least it should be "-DGFIRSWY/L" in 10a/10b and "PBN/A1B2C1D1L1O1S2 NAV/GPS" in the Remarks Item 18.

Regards
Jan

@Christoph: I found that (at least for GCRR) there exists a non GNSS Approach via DEVLA. I tried to validate a modified route from Munich which went ok. Maybe this helps also for Fuerteventura to offer a route until TERTO is "re-opened".

Before I change a route into a non realistic longer one, I would like to hear from Michal if he is able to solve that. Maybe he is on vacation.

sorry for having you wait for an answer. I've "upgraded" the default B738 to -B738/M-DGFIRSWY/L and -PBN/A1B2C1D1L1O1S2 and now:

NO ERRORS

I hope this does not induce errors in some other parts of the world...

Thanks, 70 routes updated with one click.
I don´t think that an better equipment can harm.
